The UAE International Investors Council has members from a number of key Ministries and private companies within the UAE. The aim of the Council is to support investment decision-making to provide the members with clear indicators and parameters of ongoing developments in all areas of the UAE investments worldwide.
On the 12th September 2017, a key note address was made to the Council by H.E Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori, UAE Minister of Economy and Chairman of the UAE international Investors Council. This was followed by a one hour presentation by Dr Pierce on “The Latest Trends and Best Practices in Corporate Governance”. Dr Pierce also chaired a one-hour panel discussion on “How do International Investors make Investment Decisions”. Other panel members included: Majed Al Mesmari, Head of Investment Banking (J.P. Morgan); Sammy Kayello, Chairman and CEO of MENA (Morgan Stanley); Rabih Khouri, Managing Director of Corporate Investment MENA (Investcorp) and Farah Foustock, CEO (Lazard Gulf Ltd). The Forum was hosted by the GCC Board Directors Institute (GCC BDI).
