On Friday 23rd November 2018 Samsung signed an arbitration deal that offered $132,000 to each worker who had contracted cancer or other serious disease whilst working at its electronic factory since 1984.
The company also donated money to the Korean Occupational Safety and Health Agency.
Over a number of decades over 250 workers have been falling seriously ill due to exposure to toxic chemicals in Samsung’s factories where chips and LCD displays have been manufactured.
