Following the award to GGS of the project to deliver a revised and updated Director Development Programme for the MIoD, Dr Chris Pierce visited Mauritius during the week 2-6 November 2015 and held data gathering meetings with key stakeholders, such as the Mauritius Examination Syndicate (MES), the Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) and Mauritius Qualification Authority. The Director Development Programme is the flagship training programme of the MIoD, having been run very successfully for a number of years. The structure of the total programme is now being revised and updated to meet the needs of the local market and to be in line with the new Code of Corporate Governance (2015). It is planned that certification will be added and the new programme will comprise Certificate, Diploma and Chartered Director levels.
