Dr Chris Pierce attended a meeting of the ACF and presented an update on the Revised Code of Corporate Governance for Mauritius, explaining aspects of the Code that concern Audit Committees.
The ACF was set up in 2013 by the Mauritius Institute of Directors (MIoD), in collaboration with KPMG. Its objective is to help Audit Committees in Mauritius, in both the public and the private sectors, to improve their effectiveness as an essential component of good Corporate Governance. The Forum provides information, resources, and knowledge-sharing opportunities to help audit committee members and their boards enhance the effectiveness and integrity of the financial reporting process. It consists of a Working Group which is composed of highly respected audit committee chairpersons/members and professionals from the public and the private sector.
