Dr Chris Pierce made a presentation to the Company Secretary Circle about the Revised Code of Corporate Governance for Mauritius. The Company Secretary Circle is a forum set up by the Mauritius Institute of Directors in collaboration with ICSA Mauritius with the following objectives:
- To provide a forum for company secretariesand identify critical issues which are of concern to them;
- To produce position documents and, through consultation with government and regulators, contribute to policy development;
- To share best practice and find ways to effectively leverage lessons learned; and
- To explore the challenges of delivering effective company secretarial service.
The meeting was held at the offices of the forum’s sponsor, ABAX (an international provider of corporate management and advisory services based in Mauritius).
