
ecoDa held its 10th anniversary conference on the topic of “The Professionalism of Directors – Key to European Competitiveness” at the Goethe-Institut Brussels on 22 April 2015. The International Finance Corporation (IFC) in collaboration with ecoDa, launched its “Guide to Corporate Governance Practices in the European Union” and Chris Pierce made a short presentation at a dinner following the conference. The publication describes the corporate governance framework within the EU and highlights good European governance practices, focusing on the particular aspects of European governance practices that distinguish this region from other parts of the world. The project team involved in developing the publication comprised: Ralitza Germanova, Associate Operations Officer, IFC Corporate Governance Group; Chris Pierce, CEO, Global Governance Services Ltd, London; Beatrice Richez-Baum, Secretary General, ecoDa; and Philip Armstrong, Senior Advisor, IFC Corporate Governance Group.
