IFC Corporate Governance in East Asia and the Pacific (EAP) is working to build sustainable businesses in the region through improved corporate governance. As part of this work it is supporting the setting up of a corporate governance institute for Myanmar. Dr Chris Pierce spent the week commencing 22 May 2017 in Yangon, and co-facilitated a Stakeholder roundtable for discussions concerning this. He also presented a training of trainers workshop and spoke on key corporate governance developments at a breakfast seminar aimed to raise awareness on corporate governance issues.
