
CCL Academy, in collaboration with Henley Business School and the ICMA Centre, held a 5-day executive programme designed specifically for Senior Compliance/Financial Crime Prevention staff and Regulatory Professionals on 7-11 September 2015 in London. The programme examined the key local and global regulatory trends and developments impacting the financial services industry in 2015/16.
As part of this programme, Dr Chris Pierce presented a half-day workshop on ‘Recent and upcoming developments in corporate governance’ on 11 September. The workshop covered:
- “Hard law” versus “soft law” and codes
- Regulators and enforcement
- Board structure and diversity
- The governance of strategy and value creation
- The governance of risk
- Information technology governance
- Compensation/remuneration governance
- Increased accountabilities and responsibilities
The programme took place at Hotel Café Royal, London and was attended by delegates from Oman, Qatar and Saudi Arabia.
