Paper on Risk Management

A paper on "Enterprise Risk Management - Understanding and Communicating Risk Appetite" has just been published today. The paper defines risk appetite as the amount of risk organizations are willing to accept in pursuit of their objectives and argues that this is an integral part of an effective Enterprise Risk Management system.
It provides examples of statements of risk appetite and emphasizes the notion that risk appetite should be clearly defined, communicated by management, embraced by the board, and continually monitored and updated. It can be downloaded at www.coso.org
